Can you teach me please? No…

Marty Sullens March 1, 2009 3

I don’t know what profession your in, but I’m sure this applies to a wide range.

When it comes to being an online affiliate marketer / web designer you will get this question ALOT “Can you teach me how to do what you do?” if your new and upcoming I’m sure you will answer “Yes” or  “Umm yea, when I have time too”.

Welcome to your biggest mistake.

99% of the people that ask you this question are interested in one thing, The money you make! They are honestly not interested in learning xHTML / CSS, web standards, great design techniques and practices. They are only interested in learning just enough for them to start making money and producing what I call brainless products.

These people have absolutly no creativeness and will suck hours away from your life and most likely have you produce what they really wanted while saying it was there work.

Tips for spotting these bloodsuckers

1. History of having 10+ professions.
2. Always agree with everything you teach them, and never question anything.
3. Super short attention span.
4. Can never figure out the simplest problem by themselves.
5. Get really involved into something, then completely abandon it.
6. They take no initiative into learning something on there own.

Good luck out there and remember when someone asks “Can you teach me please?” Just respond nicely No, But go here for more information {insert good tutorial site or just general information site}

    Hi Marty, saw your question on Uber Affiliate and decided to check out your blog. I don’t see an rss feed to subscribe to, am I missing it?

    I agree with your article about the bloodsuckers and you will find them in a lot of other bussiness’. I think what you do is interesting and I may ask questions only because I am interested but I could never do what you do. I am glad that there is someone out there like you that is sincere and honest and not some fly-by-night operation. By hat is off to you.
